1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how OmniRN ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use the OmniRN mobile application on iOS and Android and our website at omnirn.com.
This policy is written to comply with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines (including Guideline 5.1.1), the Google Play Data Safety requirements, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
2. Information We Collect & How We Use It
We only collect data strictly necessary to provide and sync your study experience:
Account Identifiers
When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive an encrypted user identifier and your email address. This is used solely to authenticate your account and sync your subscription status.
Study & Spaced Repetition Progress
To power the Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler (FSRS), we record card review ratings (Again/Hard/Good/Easy), quiz attempt scores, and question bookmarks to compute optimal review intervals.
Subscription Status
We store anonymous entitlement tokens via RevenueCat to verify whether your account has an active premium subscription. We never see or store your payment card details.
Crash Diagnostics & App Health
Anonymous stack traces, device model, and OS version when an unexpected error occurs, utilized strictly to fix bugs and prevent calculation errors.
3. Information We Never Collect
We believe in data minimization. OmniRN does not collect:
- Precise Geolocation: We never request or access GPS coordinates.
- Biometric Data: Face ID / Touch ID authentication is handled locally by iOS/Android; we never receive biometric data.
- Contacts or Photos: We do not request access to your address book or photo roll.
- Protected Health Information (PHI): OmniRN is an exam simulator. You should never input real patient data into the app.
- Cross-App Advertising Identifiers (IDFA / GAID): We do not track you across other websites or apps.
4. Local-First Architecture & Storage Security
OmniRN is built on a local-first design:
- The entire curriculum, clinical question catalog, dosage formulas, and 3D anatomical coordinate data are bundled directly inside the app in a local SQLite database.
- You can study, calculate doses, and take quizzes entirely offline without transmitting queries to external servers.
- When an internet connection is present, only lightweight review timestamps and bookmark state are synced using TLS 1.3 encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest via Google Cloud / Firebase Firestore.

We work with trusted infrastructure providers who adhere to strict data security standards:

6. Your Rights & Account Deletion
Under GDPR, CCPA, and Apple App Store Review Guidelines, you have the absolute right to access, export, or permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.
Two Easy Ways to Delete Your Data:
- In-App (Instant): Open OmniRN → Tap Settings (gear icon) → Tap "Account" → Select "Delete Account". All cloud records and local profiles are deleted immediately.
- Via Web Portal: If you uninstalled the app or lost your device, submit a request on our Account Deletion Request Page or email privacy@omnirn.com.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
OmniRN is intended for post-secondary adult nursing students and candidates for professional licensure. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for immediate removal.
